METHOD AND MADNESS Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey Finished in Japanese Chestnut Casks is a single pot still distillate first matured in ex-bourbon American Oak barrel sand sherry butts before a final13 month finishing period in Japanese Chestnut Casks.
The chestnut wood–or Kuri in Japanese–also hails from southern Japan where the rocky terrain and abundant rainfall make for a relatively high wood density imparting notes of liquorice and lingering spice with flavours of orange zest and cooling menthol.
