Originally constructed in 1868 and called “The Shakespeare”, reflecting its theatrical clientele Bittle’s Bar is unique due to its “flat-iron” shape. Beyond it’s shape the bar is noted for an inspiring selection of artwork celebrating Ireland’s literary and sporting heroes including Samuel Beckett, James Joyce, W B Yeats, Oscar Wilde, George Best, Alex Higgins and Barry McGuigan, plus some of Northern Ireland’s most famous politicians.
